Monet came into our rescue program on August 9, 2011. Monet came from the Stephens County Sheriff's Office. Monet along with 14 other horses were severly starved and neglected in Marlow, Oklahoma. Sadly, one of the horses seized by Stephens County died within 48 hours of the seizure at the Vet Clinic, due to the extreme neglect she had suffered. The remaining 14 horses are currently in our care and being rehabilitated. Monet is a Beautiful, Black/White, Appaloosa, Mare. She is estimated to be 4 years of age. She is super sweet and loves attention. She is extremely emaciated, body score of a 1, and infested with internal/external parasites. This sweet girl has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards the rehabilitation of Monet and the other 13 horses from Marlow, Oklahoma.
Update 12/19/2011 Monet is now seeking her forever, loving home. She has gained a lot of weight and looks great. She is super sweet girl and loves attention. She is halter broke and broke to lead, stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Monet has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance.
